Thank you for visiting Cloth Diaper Kids! If you're wondering how we came to be, or debating whether to use cloth diapers for your little ones, then you've come the right place. I took a long and confused road before I started using cloth and it's never too late to start.
When my husband and I became parents, we knew we didn't want to use disposable diapers. We wanted to save money and keep diapers out of landfills, but I thought it would be too messy to wash cloth diapers myself (I have a low tolerance for "ickyness" :)
As a solution, I hired a diaper service. The service was great, but we had trouble getting the diapers to fit correctly. At only 5lbs, the one style of diaper that the service offered did not fit my son correctly. They were too bulky, he was too skinny and we had leaks. Every time I changed a diaper I changed his outfit too. As much as I wanted to use cloth, sleep deprivation and frustration had me back using disposables and I canceled the diaper service. I was disappointed to say the least.
Hearing my disappointment, a friend suggested I try the cloth diaper she swore by...and it worked! Since then I've tried every brand and style of diaper out there. I've discovered that they are super easy to wash, easy enough for husbands and grandparents to use and super soft against my baby's delicate skin. Not to mention they come in adorable prints, patterns and color choices that make baby bums super cute. So now, we sell what we love as a way for me to stay home with my little one, and we only sell what WORKS.
We also carry an assortment of other products that we love for Mom & Baby with a focus on Canadian made products and products made or sold by other Stay-At-Home Moms.
Cloth diapering has become everything I hoped it would be and we hope it can be for you too. Feel free to contact us anytime. Ask a question and have it answered by email, share your cloth diapering experiences and opinions on our Facebook page and browse the articles on our website to learn more about the wonderful world of cloth diapers.
We hope you love cloth diapers as much as we do.
Welcome to Cloth Diaper Kids.
For all you Mammas out there considering cloth diapers, I should tell you, I don't cloth diaper 24/7 (whoops, did I really say that out loud?). That's right, I've been known to use the occasional disposable diaper. I'm a firm believer in finding what works for each individual family whether you choose to cloth diaper exclusively or part time ;)
